Hi Sorry about the delayed response - the gremlins have struck again! No this radio is not waterproof or even splashproof, so take care if you choose to buy one. The eton Raptor - http://www.lowimpactliving.com.au/p/4712354/eton-raptor---solar-torch-and-radio.html - is certified to be splash proof and ia a much more rugged design intended for outdoors. The tip you require would depend on your mobile and we can supply a cable and you should be able to get the right tip at a good electronics store. Hope this helps Nigel
